2011 achievements

A baker's dozen (at least)

It's that time of the year where we indulge in some shameless self-promotion and list the new stuff we've brought you this year:

• Launched the Mayor's Reading Challenge
• Began sending near-due reminders via email
• Arranged the music CDs in genres
• Added an extra storytime at Carrum Downs
• Upgraded to catalogue, which now includes RSS feeds
• Held a junior short story competition
• Introduced the Books For Busy Mums area
• Revamped Frankston's teen area
• Gave graphic novels their own areas
• Got a new library head-honcho
• Made Power Mates for loan
• Launched the home work, family history and job clubs
• Featured Art for Loan artists painting in the library

And lots more, too. For a glimpse of what library staff achieved during the year, here's what we'd like to share with you. Some of the projects are behind the scene stuff, but it's all important, like duck legs paddling like mad to maintain a graceful surface momentum.
